Becoming a Contestant
If you are interested in becoming a contestant in the Miss Statesville Pageant, Miss Statesville's Outstanding Teen Pageant, or the Miss Statesville's/Miss Statesville's Outstanding Teen's Carolina Princesses Pageants, please refer to the descriptions and links below, read the information, and fill out the "Prospective Contestant Fact Sheet" for the appropriate division. When completed, email to info@missstatesville.org. A member of our committee will contact you with further information upon receipt of the form.
Miss Statesville
(Pageant is held on the first Saturday of August)
Contestants must:
° Be a resident of Iredell County for 6 months, a full-time student in Iredell County for 6 months, or a full-time employee in Iredell County for 6 months
° Be between the ages of 17 and 23 as of the pageant date
° Compete in:
Talent - 35%
Private Interview - 25%
Evening Wear - 20%
Swimsuit - 15%
On-Stage Question - 5%
° Develop and promote community service platform
° There is no entry fee to compete for the title of Miss Statesville
° This is a binding contract and Miss Statesville will not be permitted to compete in any other competitions during her year service as Miss Statesville
° Upon entry as a contestant in the Miss Statesville Pageant, each will be required to raise a $100 donation to the Miss America national platform, Children's Miracle Network. A contestant will not be allowed to compete if this requirement is not met.

Miss Statesville's Outstanding Teen
(Pageant is held in November)
Contestants must be:
° A resident of Iredell County or attend school in Iredell County.
° Between the ages of 13 and 17 as of the pageant date
° Contestants will compete in:
Private Interview - 35%
Talent - 35%
Physical Fitness - 10%
Evening Gown - 15%
Onstage Question - 5%
° Contestants may also compete in two optional categories; Photogenic and Swimsuit. These phases will NOT count for the title.
° Must develop and promote a community service project.
° Only one winner will be crowned. She will compete at the Miss NC Outstanding Teen pageant in Raleigh in June following the pageant.
° The entry fee for contestants is $100.00.
° The optional phases are an additional $25.00 EACH.
° This is a binding contract and Miss Statesville's Outstanding Teen will not be permitted to compete in any other competitions without the approval of the Miss Statesville Organization.

Miss Statesville's Carolina Princess / Miss Statesville's Outstanding Teen's Carolina Princess
(Pageant is held in November)
Contestants must be:
° A resident of Iredell County
° Between the ages of 8 and 12 as of the date of competition
° Contestants will compete in:
Private Interview - 30%
Casual Wear - 30%
Sunday Best - 30%
Onstage Question - 10%
° Contestants may also compete in Photogenic and Talent. These are optional and will NOT count for the title.
° This is a stacked pageant, meaning that we will crown two winners.
° The contestant with the highest point total will be crowned Miss Statesville's Carolina Princess. The second highest total will be crowned Statesville's Outstanding Teen's Carolina Princess.
° Both winners will travel to Raleigh in June following the pageant to appear onstage at the Miss North Carolina and NC Outstanding Teen Pageant.
° The entry fee for Princess contestants is $100.00.
° The optional categories are an additional $25.00 EACH.
